We all want this, right? become a millionaire? never have to worry about your money, about if you can go out for dinner or not. Buy that lovely fast car, beautiful pony, or whatever else rocks your boat?
well, the bookstores are full of self-help books on how to become a millionaire, written by those who made it (and plenty of hopefulls).
So, where am I different? Well, I’ll just take you along my journey. Sort of live -following my ups and downs. If I succeed, at least this site isn’t a retrospective ‘you should do it this way’, but an actual example. I’ll make plenty of mistakes, no doubt. Right now I run two companies with my wife: a consultancy and a boardgame company. The first has one employee and a turnover of 300K a year. The other, not so much… we just got our first game out and seek ways to promote it.
So, I thought it fun to just give you the essence of what I find interesting, what I’m doing and how it’s going.
Of course, you can also go to an inflation ridden country, and show your million Rupees, baht or what have you. But we’re talking about the target of one million euro’s. The Americans go for the 10% discount, and stick to their dollars.
To become a millionaire, you have to take into account four basic truths. We will explore these (well, we only explore three, and yes, I came u p with this myself). I’ll place links for you to click on so I can make some money as well and you can read the same things I did.
So, how to get rich? Well, by doing either four things right, or by a combination of the four. But we’ll explore only three.
- Become an expert. The more specific your expertise, the more likely it you’ll be able to get paid highly. However, that works on an offer- demand basis. You might be the best toiletpaper-folder in the world, if demand is low, you won’t get rich.
- Work hard. Basically, if you work your bottom off, you may be able to get to positions others crave, and become rich. This is especially true if you become an entrepreneur.
- Gamble. Chances are low, but there’s a possibility.
- Cheat. Break the law. It’s a way to get rich, but, we highly oppose this, as we stand by the rule that one should not take anything from someone else or harm anyone. So we won’t explore this option any further. It does give for some interesting reading though.
Now, you knew this, no doubt. But you may work as hard as you can and never get further than the job you’re doing. You may buy all the lottery tickets possible, but never get the jackpot. That’s because there’s another crucial factor, and that’s your willingness to take risks. The higher the risk, roughly, the higher the possibility of gain and inadvertently the smaller the chance you’ll succeed.
